Dumas Gets Its First Wingstop—and a Whole Lot of Flavor

Dumas, get the ranch ready. The city’s first Wingstop is planned for 123 North Dumas Avenue, Suite O, bringing saucy wings, seasoned fries, and a whole new set of dinner decisions to town. For fans who already have a favorite flavor, the biggest question may be how many to order.

Wingstop brings its flavor obsession to Dumas

Founded in 1994 in Garland, Texas, Wingstop grew from a single restaurant into a global chicken brand. Its appeal starts with a simple choice: pick your chicken, pick your flavor, and build the meal around what you crave.

According to Wingstop’s company overview, its menu includes classic bone-in wings, boneless wings, tenders, and chicken sandwiches. The brand emphasizes cooking to order and tossing chicken by hand in the chosen sauce or seasoning.

For Dumas, that means a new option for the nights when everyone wants chicken but nobody agrees on the order. Bone-in for one person, boneless for another, and a few extra pieces for whoever insists they are only having fries.

Start with the wings. Make room for the sides.

Wingstop’s familiar flavor lineup gives diners plenty of directions to take that first order. Lemon Pepper belongs on the short list, while Garlic Parmesan offers a savory, buttery, cheesy option without the heat. Original Hot and Mango Habanero give spice fans something to consider.

The sides deserve their own place in the conversation. The Wingstop menu includes seasoned fries, Cajun Fried Corn, and Louisiana Voodoo Fries topped with cheese sauce, ranch, and Cajun seasoning. Then there is the housemade ranch: a dip for the chicken, a landing spot for the fries, and a good reason to think twice before sharing the last cup.

Picture your first Wingstop order: a couple of wing flavors, fries in the middle, and dips within reach. That is the meal to look forward to here. The fun is in finding your combination—and deciding whether the next order should repeat it or try something new.

Another first for Dumas dining

Wingstop adds to the city’s restaurant news following plans for Dumas’s first Whataburger. Each gives local diners another familiar name to put on their list, and this arrival brings a menu centered on wings and customizable flavor.

Where and when is Wingstop opening?

The TDLR registration for the Dumas Wingstop lists a $300,000 renovation of 2,050 square feet. Work includes new interior partitions, finishes, equipment, lighting, and electrical systems in an existing building.

The filing schedules construction from September 21 through December 28, 2026. December 28 is the estimated construction completion date, not a confirmed opening day.

For now, Dumas has time to settle the important part: which Wingstop flavor gets the first order, and who is responsible for remembering the extra ranch?
