A longtime Burger King in Humble is about to get a much different look.

The restaurant at 10035 FM 1960 Road W is preparing for a major renovation that will transform both the inside and outside of the building.

But this isn’t just a fresh coat of paint.

Burger King is upgrading The Humble restaurant to its newer ‘Sizzle’ design as part of a nationwide effort to modernize the fast-food chain’s restaurants.

What Is Burger King’s Sizzle Design?

Burger King introduced Sizzle as its next-generation restaurant design.

The concept gives older Burger King restaurants a warmer, more contemporary appearance while also changing how customers move through and use the restaurant.

Digital ordering plays a larger role. So do mobile-order pickup and drive-thru service.

Behind the scenes, the design also focuses on making restaurant operations more efficient.

It’s all part of Burger King’s larger effort to modernize its U.S. restaurants and refresh a brand that has been serving Whoppers since the 1950s.

Burger King Is Spending Big on Remodels

The Humble project is part of something considerably larger.

Burger King’s parent company, Restaurant Brands International, has been working with franchisees to renovate restaurants across the country as part of the brand’s Reclaim the Flame strategy.

The company previously laid out a path for 85% to 90% of U.S. Burger King restaurants to have a modern image by 2028. Sizzle is a major piece of that effort.

And these aren’t simply cosmetic changes.

The newer design was created around the way fast-food customers increasingly use restaurants, particularly through digital orders, pickup and the drive-thru.

For Burger King, that means updating a restaurant can involve changing both what customers see and how the building functions.

What’s Changing at the Humble Restaurant?

The upcoming Humble renovation will cover the entire 3,160-square-foot restaurant.

Plans call for upgrades to the dining area along with significant changes to the building’s exterior.

The project will also include modifications to the restaurant’s HVAC and electrical systems as needed to support the remodel.

Altogether, the renovation carries an estimated construction cost of $550,000.

Construction is currently scheduled to begin in October 2026.

The project remains registered with the state, and the construction schedule extends into 2027.

Same Whopper, Very Different Burger King

Burger King has been around since 1954 and today operates more than 19,700 restaurants across more than 120 markets.

But the restaurants themselves have changed considerably over those seven decades.

Now the Humble location is preparing for its turn.

Customers shouldn’t expect a new restaurant or a new brand at 10035 FM 1960.

It’ll still be Burger King. It’ll still have the Whopper.

It just won’t look like the Burger King they’re used to seeing.
