The biggest shopping detail is simple: all Costco members can shop at a Business Center. You do not need to own a restaurant, run an office or carry a separate business membership to walk through the doors.
Costco Business Center Plans for Haltom City
The filing places the project at the southeast corner of Haltom Road and High Pointe, with a street address not yet assigned in that record. The city’s April announcement identifies the planned location as 4909 NE Loop 820 and includes a fuel center.
Haltom City describes this as the first Business Center on the west side of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The city also points to recent infrastructure improvements along the corridor and nearby commercial investment, including H Mart Plaza.
The accessibility filing names Louis Engler Properties LLC as the owner and MG2 Architecture Corporation as the design firm. It describes new construction and lists the project as registered under TABS2027001081.
What Makes a Costco Business Center Different?
According to Costco’s guide to the format, more than 70% of Business Center items differ from those carried at a regular warehouse. The selection serves businesses while also giving household shoppers access to products and package sizes they may not find on their usual trip.
Commercial appliances, restaurant supplies, individually wrapped snacks and an expanded beverage selection are part of that mix. Larger quantities of groceries can also appeal to members cooking for a gathering or stocking a busy household. Specific Haltom City inventory has not been announced.
Costco confirms that its Business Center warehouses welcome all members. That makes this project relevant to both local business operators and shoppers curious about a different selection of bulk goods.
Investment and Job Commitments
The city’s April 13 staff memo outlines a minimum $25 million private investment covering land acquisition, building construction and site improvements. That broader figure differs from the $18.4 million construction estimate in the state filing.
The memo describes a five-year incentive agreement with minimum employment requirements of 90 full-time-equivalent positions in years one and two, 105 in years three and four, and 120 by year five. It also sets out performance reporting and repayment or termination provisions.
The April 13 meeting minutes, included in the April 27 packet, record unanimous approval of the Costco agreement. These employment figures are commitments described in city records, rather than a current hiring announcement.
Costco Business Center Construction Timeline
The new filing lists construction beginning December 1, 2026, and finishing August 31, 2027. The city’s April announcement previously projected an early-2027 opening, so the two schedules differ.
The filing provides a construction-completion target, not a confirmed opening date. A revised public opening announcement is still needed to settle that difference.
