According to August 27 reporting from the Murphy Monitor, Wylie’s Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously recommended approval on August 18. The proposal includes wholesale retail, tire and battery services, and a members-only fueling station. That recommendation is a separate step from final City Council approval.

These are established Costco favorites, rather than a confirmed opening-day menu for Wylie. The new location’s final food-court offerings and services have not been verified.

The Wylie fuel filing repeats the warehouse’s scope and square footage. It does not establish a second 165,000-square-foot building or a verified pump count. The project is best described as one planned warehouse with a separately registered fuel center.
Costco in Wylie Construction Dates and Investment
The warehouse registration, TABS2027000580, lists an estimated cost of $40,186,744. The fuel-center registration, TABS2027000582, adds $2,076,020. Together, the registered estimates total $42,262,764, or about $42.3 million.
Both filings list construction from October 12, 2026, through August 6, 2027. Those dates describe the planned work and do not establish a grand-opening date.
Until then, Wylie shoppers have time to plan that first trip. Start with a list, leave a little room in the trunk, and give the food court a fair hearing.
