The concept centers on a simple convenience: pull into a service bay and remain behind the wheel while technicians work. For customers juggling errands or a busy workweek, that means an oil change without settling into a waiting room.
What to expect from Take 5
Take 5 says most oil changes take about 10 minutes and require no appointment, according to the company’s website. Service includes an oil and filter change, along with tire-pressure checks and fluid top-offs. Actual visit times depend on the queue and the vehicle’s needs.
The brand also offers services such as air-filter and windshield-wiper replacement, although availability varies by shop. Customers stay in their vehicles while technicians explain the work and any additional recommendations.
A new Take 5 address on Boyd Road
The Azle project calls for a single-story, 1,828-square-foot building with three service bays and associated site improvements. The compact layout puts the emphasis on moving vehicles through routine maintenance.
Take 5 already lists shops in surrounding communities on its Texas location directory. The Boyd Road project would bring that service model into Azle itself, adding a local address for drivers who prefer the brand.
For nearby residents, the appeal is practical: another maintenance option that can become part of a regular trip through town. The new building will give the service a dedicated home on Boyd Road.
Construction planned for 2027
The new Take 5 carries an estimated construction cost of $950,000. Its state registration lists work beginning January 1, 2027, and finishing July 1, 2027. An opening date has not been announced.
The Dimension Group is the design firm, and Driven Brands is the listed tenant. The registered property owner is the Hunter Family Living Revocable Trust.
Once complete, Take 5 will add three new service bays to Azle’s automotive offerings, with a focus on getting an everyday chore checked off and getting drivers back on their way.
