Mia’s Table is bringing a little extra comfort to Pearland—and the chicken fried steak comes with jalapeño cream gravy.
The Houston-born restaurant plans a new location at 8809 Broadway Street, Suite 160, in Pearland. With hearty plates and a casual approach to family dining, the concept gives locals another place to gather over a meal.
Mia’s Table serves comfort food with a kick
Start with the chicken fried steak. Its crisp, hand-breaded coating meets the restaurant’s signature jalapeño cream gravy, with Texas toast alongside. It is familiar Texas comfort food with a little extra personality in the gravy.

A Houston family name behind Mia’s Table
The concept comes from Houston restaurateur Johnny Carrabba. According to the family’s restaurant history, the first Mia’s Table opened in 2012, one block behind the Original Carrabba’s on Kirby.
His goal was to bring the convenience of fast-casual dining together with the warmth and hospitality of a sit-down family meal. The brand’s story describes a restaurant built around that combination.
As a result, Mia’s Table offers a different kind of outing within the Carrabba family of restaurants: a casual gathering spot centered on comfort food. The Pearland project extends that Houston-area story to Broadway Street.
More than one new name at 8809 Broadway
The address also connects the restaurant to a broader retail project. A Braun Enterprises leasing listing markets 8809 Broadway as a redevelopment and names both Chipotle and Mia’s Table among its draws.
For Pearland readers, that adds context beyond a single restaurant filing. Mia’s Table is part of the property’s changing tenant lineup. The listing does not establish an opening date for either restaurant.
What is planned for the Pearland restaurant?
The TDLR project registration, TABS2026017233, describes a 6,544-square-foot tenant build-out and addition in an existing shopping center. The estimated construction cost is $2.5 million.
The registered schedule runs from December 14, 2026, through June 28, 2027. Those are planned construction dates. June 28 is the estimated completion target, not a confirmed restaurant opening day.
Once Mia’s Table opens, the appeal will be a lot simpler than the construction paperwork: bring an appetite, pull up a chair, and decide what deserves that jalapeño cream gravy.
