Harbor Freight plans a new store at 3610 Forest Lane in Dallas, bringing a $1.456 million renovation to Park Forest Southwest Shopping Center. The project covers 17,994 square feet of existing retail space, according to a Texas accessibility filing.
The listed construction schedule runs from November 2, 2026, through January 4, 2027. Those dates cover the building work; a store opening date has not been announced.
Harbor Freight started with mail-order tools
Long before its red storefront signs became familiar sights, Harbor Freight began as a small mail-order tool business in North Hollywood, California. Harbor Freight plans at Park Forest Southwest
The shopping center sits along Forest Lane just west of Marsh Lane. Sabre Realty’s leasing materials identify tenants including Five Below, Marshalls, Fitness Connection and Goodwill, placing the proposed tool store within an established shopping destination.
The leasing plan lists Five Below at 3610 Forest Lane and a separate, available 24,829-square-foot space at 3610-A. The Harbor Freight filing uses the street address without a suite designation, so it does not establish which portion of that larger space the retailer will occupy.
Planned work includes new interior rooms and a dividing wall, along with a new entrance, exits and overhead doors. A loading dock, receiving pad, forklift ramp and stairs will support deliveries. ADA Architects is listed as the design firm.
Harbor Freight already serves Dallas customers, including at its Skillman Street location. The Forest Lane filing establishes plans for this address but does not say whether another store will be affected.
