Dumont Creamery and Cafe is planning a new dessert-and-coffee stop at 21920 West Road in Cypress. A state filing outlines a $200,000 renovation of a 1,330-square-foot space at the Bridge-creek development.
The registered project lists September 15, 2026, as its planned construction start and February 15, 2027, as its estimated completion. That February date is a construction target, not a confirmed opening day. The scope includes new air-conditioning equipment, partition walls, electrical work and plumbing.
Dumont Creamery and Cafe pairs scoops with coffee and boba
Picking a scoop is only part of the decision at Dumont. The brand combines ice cream with boba, tea and coffee, giving a group several ways to order at the same stop.
Its U.S. ice cream page promotes more than 50 flavors and seasonal specials. Familiar choices shown in its menu graphics include vanilla bean, Dumont chocolate and mint chocolate chip. That is the brand’s broader offering; the Cypress opening lineup has not been confirmed.
There are more adventurous choices elsewhere in the Texas network, too. The Houston Chronicle’s coverage of Dumont’s Sugar Land shop highlights mint basil sorbet and Biscoff ice cream, along with lavender and date-cardamom lattes. Those combinations give a better taste of the concept than the word “creamery” alone.
Dumont Creamery and Cafe has roots in India
According to Dumont’s company history, Vivek and Bhaskar Inampudi helped grow their father’s small ice cream enterprise into the Dumont brand in India. The company says its broader ice cream range spans 250 flavors.
That history helps explain the mix of familiar favorites and flavors drawn from beyond the usual scoop-shop lineup. Its U.S. cafes also have dedicated boba and tea and coffee offerings.
The planned Cypress shop follows another Houston-area addition in Sugar Land, where Dumont opened at 4734 LJ Parkway in 2026.
Dumont Creamery and Cafe heads to Bridgecreek
Palo Duro Commercial Partners places its Bridgecreek development at the northwest corner of West Road and Mason Road, near the Grand Parkway. The owner listed in the Dumont filing is PDC 8 Bridgecreek LLC.
The developer’s leasing brochure highlights Mason Road’s connection north to the Bridgeland community. That puts the planned cafe along a route connecting nearby neighborhoods with the West Road retail corridor.
