Cleveland is about to have another option when the smoothie craving hits.
Smoothie King is preparing to open its first Cleveland location at 517 S. Washington Avenue, Suite 102.
Plans call for a $300,000 build-out of a 1,110-square-foot space inside an existing retail center. Construction is scheduled to begin September 15, 2026, with completion currently targeted for the end of December.
That means Cleveland could be blending up something new heading into 2027.
Smoothie King Heads to Cleveland
The new restaurant will open along South Washington Avenue, one of Cleveland’s main commercial corridors.
The space previously housed Victory Lending and was recently marketed for lease. Now, instead of loans, the 1,110-square-foot storefront is getting ready for blenders.
That’s quite the career change for a building.
The project will remodel the existing space for Smoothie King, with no major site work planned.
More importantly for Cleveland, this appears to be the first Smoothie King location in the city.
What’s on the Smoothie King Menu?
Smoothie King has been around considerably longer than the smoothie craze itself.
The company traces its roots to 1973, when the first location opened in Louisiana. Since then, Smoothie King has grown into a major international brand with more than 1,200 locations.
As the name suggests, smoothies are the main attraction.
However, the menu goes well beyond a handful of fruit flavors. Customers can choose from protein-heavy blends, fruit smoothies, meal-replacement options and selections designed around fitness or wellness goals.
There are also plenty of ways to customize a drink with different ingredients, enhancers and add-ins.
So whether you’re looking for something packed with protein or simply want a cold strawberry smoothie on a Texas afternoon, Cleveland will soon have another option.
Another National Brand Finds Cleveland
A single 1,110-square-foot storefront might not look like a massive development project.
For a smaller community, though, another recognizable national brand can mean quite a bit more.
Cleveland continues to attract new restaurants and retailers as growth pushes farther into Liberty County and northeast of Houston. Smoothie King’s arrival adds another name to that growing list.
And this time, Cleveland residents won’t have to head toward another community to find one.
For now, an official opening date hasn’t been announced. The current construction schedule points toward work wrapping up by December 30.
Bottom line — Cleveland is getting its first Smoothie King. If construction stays on schedule, the blenders could be firing up around the end of 2026 or shortly afterward.
