Manvel coffee runs are about to get a lot more colorful. Dutch Bros Coffee is planning a new shop along Highway 6, bringing its famously customizable drinks, energetic drive-thru vibe and a whole lot of caramel drizzle to the growing Brazoria County community.
The new Dutch Bros is planned for 17110 Highway 6, Suite 100 in Manvel. A state filing calls for a 1,930-square-foot interior build-out in an existing end-cap space with drive-thru and walk-up service. The $750,000 project is scheduled for work from February through July 2027.
Manvel appears to be getting its first Dutch Bros
This looks like a first for Manvel. Dutch Bros’ current Texas location directory lists more than 200 shops across the state, but Manvel is not among the cities with an existing location. That makes the Highway 6 project more than another coffee build-out. It gives local fans a Dutch Run of their own instead of heading to another community for one.
The location also fits the steady commercial growth along Highway 6. Manvel has added restaurants, medical offices, service businesses and other new tenants along the corridor in recent years. Dutch Bros would add another recognizable name to that mix.
Coffee, caramel and Rebels — pick your lane
Dutch Bros is much more than a basic cup of coffee. The menu ranges from espresso drinks and cold brew to lemonades, teas, chai and its signature Rebel energy drinks. Customers can also customize drinks with more than 25 flavors, alternative milks and toppings such as Soft Top.
For the caramel crowd, the Golden Eagle layers espresso with vanilla, caramel, half-and-half and caramel drizzle. Need something louder? Rebel drinks come iced or blended in fruit-forward combinations. Dutch Bros encourages customers to change sweetness levels, milk choices and flavors until the order is very much their own.
A different kind of Dutch Bros shop
The Manvel plan is a little different from the small freestanding Dutch Bros stands many Texans recognize. The filing describes an existing end-cap space rather than a new standalone building. The site and building shell are already there, while Dutch Bros would build out the interior for beverage service and use the existing drive-thru setup.
That gives the company 1,930 square feet to work with. It is larger than some of its compact drive-thru-only footprints, while still keeping quick drive-thru and walk-up service at the center of the operation.
Highway 6 is getting another reason to make a stop
For Manvel residents, the headline is simple: the city’s first apparent Dutch Bros means Golden Eagles, Rebels, cold brews and plenty of customized sugar-and-caffeine combinations could soon be much closer to home.
The construction paperwork confirms where and when the shop is moving forward. The better part comes after the windows open and someone in the passenger seat asks the inevitable question: coffee or Rebel?
