solidcore Plans a New Use for a Familiar Retail Address
The suite has a retail history. Buff City Soap’s October 2022 grand-opening announcement placed its Sugar Land shop at the same street address and suite number, in the Whole Foods shopping center.
The new filing points to another chapter for that space: an exercise studio within Lake Pointe Village. The address match establishes the earlier tenant, although it does not establish when the soap shop left the suite.
What a solidcore Workout Looks Like
The company describes its signature workout as high-intensity, low-impact strength training. Its official workout overview highlights 50-minute, full-body classes built around slow, controlled movements on a Pilates-inspired reformer.
Dim lighting and upbeat music are part of the atmosphere. The format emphasizes resistance and deliberate movement, giving the studio a different feel from an open gym where members choose their own equipment and routine.
The reformer is central to the signature experience, but the filing does not identify the Sugar Land studio’s equipment count or class capacity. Local membership prices and a booking schedule have not been confirmed.
From a 2013 Start to a Houston-Area Presence
Anne Mahlum founded solidcore in 2013. The business grew from that start into a national studio operator, according to Reuters’ company background. Its expansion has already brought the concept to several Houston-area communities.
The company’s studio directory lists locations in Katy, Rice Village, Montrose, Post Oak, The Heights and The Woodlands. Sugar Land was not listed when checked, so the construction registration remains the source for this proposed location.
For Lake Pointe Village, the planned solidcore studio would add another reason for residents to visit the shopping center. The filed February 2027 completion date provides a construction target, while the first day of classes remains to be announced.
