El Paso’s homegrown BOSS Tenders, Dogs & Custard is getting ready to grow again.
New construction plans show another BOSS restaurant is headed to 865 Resler Drive, Suite A, adding another location for a brand that got its start right here in the Borderland.
Plans call for a $403,000 renovation of an existing 1,800-square-foot space. Construction is currently scheduled to begin November 30, 2026, with completion targeted for March 1, 2027.
An El Paso Original
BOSS got its start in El Paso in 2017 with a simple idea: build a restaurant around tenders, dogs and frozen custard.
Chicken tenders remain one of the stars of the menu, but BOSS also serves grilled all-beef hot dogs, hand-cut fries, Texas toast and a lineup of dipping sauces. Then there’s the frozen custard side of the operation, giving the concept something a little different from the typical chicken restaurant.
Since launching in El Paso, the hometown brand has steadily spread across the area.
Today, BOSS lists 11 operating locations, with restaurants throughout El Paso and another in Horizon City.
And the Resler restaurant isn’t the only expansion project in the works.
BOSS Has More El Paso Growth Coming
Another BOSS location is already planned for 5151 Fairbanks Drive in Northeast El Paso.
That project calls for a renovation of approximately 1,250 square feet, giving the company at least two additional El Paso-area restaurants in its development pipeline.
The newly filed Resler project is larger at approximately 1,800 square feet.
Unlike a ground-up restaurant project, BOSS plans to renovate an existing tenant space for the new location. The construction schedule currently gives crews about three months to complete the transformation.
An opening date has not been announced, and construction timelines can change.
Still, the latest project adds another chapter to a growth story that started in El Paso less than a decade ago.
Bottom line — BOSS was born in the 915, built its following in the Borderland and isn’t slowing down. Now another BOSS Tenders, Dogs & Custard is headed to Resler as the hometown chain continues growing across El Paso.
