LaundroLab Round Rock Gives an Empty Space a Fresh Start
The project calls for a complete interior remodel of a long-vacant restaurant. That makes this a reuse story as much as a new-business announcement. An existing storefront would return to everyday service, this time with laundry baskets coming through the door.
There is also confirmation beyond the construction filing. RESOLUT RE Austin announced that broker Matt Stone represented LaundroLab in securing a new Round Rock location.
A Little More Convenience for Laundry Day
LaundroLab builds its concept around self-service machines and conveniences that can take some friction out of wash day. The brand promotes LaundryPay mobile payments, rewards, machine-availability checks and notifications when a cycle finishes.
Its broader amenity lineup includes staffed stores, lounge areas, arcade games and family reading spaces through a partnership with LaundryCares. Those features help explain the concept, although the exact mix for LaundroLab Round Rock has not been confirmed.
The brand also offers wash-and-fold service: customers leave their laundry with staff, who wash, dry and fold it. For anyone whose clean clothes spend several days waiting in a basket, that may be the most appealing part.
This is not the brand’s first stop in the Austin area. Its North Austin location on Research Boulevard already offers self-service laundry and drop-off washing and folding. That gives nearby residents an existing example of how the concept works.
