Hudson House is planning a new Houston restaurant at Greenside, bringing oysters, martinis and a little date-night polish to Memorial’s emerging dining destination.
The restaurant will occupy 6,095 square feet at 1085 Gessner Road, Suite 290. For neighbors, the appeal goes beyond another dinner reservation: a familiar Houston dining name is joining a setting built around places to eat, gather and linger.
Hudson House brings a taste of the coast
At its existing River Oaks restaurant, Hudson House’s menu moves from East Coast oysters and sushi to Atlantic lobster tucked into brioche. It is the sort of lineup that leaves room for both a celebratory dinner and an easy evening at the bar.
The cheeseburger offers a more casual route, pairing two thin patties with American cheese, pickles, minced onion and Hudson sauce. Steak frites, shrimp cocktail and Key lime pie round out the choices.
That balance is part of the attraction. One person can make a seafood occasion of the evening while another settles into a burger and fries. With locations already in River Oaks and Rice Village, the brand has an established Houston audience.
A new setting for Hudson House in Memorial
Greenside gives the restaurant a neighborhood backdrop with room to explore. MetroNational and Radom Capital are transforming former industrial buildings into a walkable collection of restaurants, shops and gathering spaces, working with Michael Hsu Office of Architecture.
The development includes an acre of greenspace and patios, along with a quarter-mile walking and running trail, according to MetroNational’s property details. Nearby dining names include Mia’s Table, Torchy’s Tacos and Kirby Ice House.
For Memorial diners, that creates the possibility of a longer evening: dinner, a stroll and time outside before heading home. Hudson House adds a polished dining option to that mix.
What is planned for the new restaurant
The $2 million interior build-out is scheduled to begin November 19, 2026, with construction completion listed for April 1, 2027. +One Design is the architect named in the state registration.
MetroNational currently advertises an early 2027 opening for Greenside. Hudson House has not announced its own opening date.
Once it arrives, the new address will give Memorial another reason to reserve a table close to home—and perhaps leave a little extra time for dessert.
