A new drive-thru coffee option is getting closer to serving customers in Angleton.
7 Brew Coffee is coming to 1216 N. Velasco Street, bringing the rapidly growing drive-thru beverage chain to the city for the first time. The new stand is currently listed as “Coming Soon” by 7 Brew.
The project has been taking shape along one of Angleton’s busiest commercial corridors, and construction is now approaching the end of its originally scheduled timeline.
A tiny building with a big price tag
One thing immediately stands out about the project: its size.
Construction plans filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation call for a 541-square-foot prefabricated drive-thru-only coffee shop.
That’s barely larger than some apartments.
However, the project carries an estimated construction cost of $1.25 million. Work was scheduled to begin May 18 and wrap up around September 1, 2026. The filing has since reached Review Complete status.
The small footprint isn’t unusual for 7 Brew. Instead of building a traditional coffeehouse with a large indoor seating area, the company has built its concept around compact stands designed to move customers through the drive-thru.
And soon, Angleton will have one of its own.
Angleton joins a massive 7 Brew expansion
7 Brew may still feel like a relatively new name compared with the country’s biggest coffee chains, but its growth has been anything but slow.
The company was founded in Northwest Arkansas in 2017 and had grown to seven stands by 2020. Since then, the concept has exploded.
Today, 7 Brew reports more than 800 stands across 38 states, supported by more than 45,000 employees. The company says its stands now serve more than one million drinks every day.
Texas has become a major part of that expansion.
7 Brew’s current location directory lists 121 stands across Texas, including locations in communities ranging from major metropolitan areas to smaller cities such as Brownwood, Gatesville, Dumas and Palestine. Angleton now appears in the company’s Texas directory with one stand.
Even the City of Angleton has highlighted 7 Brew among the new retail projects contributing to the city’s development momentum in 2026.
Coffee is only part of the menu
Despite having “Coffee” in the name, 7 Brew has built its following around a much broader drink menu.
Along with coffee, customers can choose from teas, smoothies, shakes, sparkling drinks and the company’s customizable 7 Energy beverages.
Customization is a major part of the concept. In fact, 7 Brew says customers can create more than 20,000 different drink combinations.
That variety, paired with a fast drive-thru format, has helped turn what started as a single Arkansas coffee stand into one of the fastest-expanding beverage concepts in the country.
What’s next for 7 Brew in Angleton?
The construction filing lists September 1 as the project’s scheduled completion date, but that’s an important distinction: a construction completion date is not necessarily an opening date.
For now, 7 Brew continues to list the Angleton stand as Coming Soon, and an exact opening date has not been announced.
What is clear is that Angleton is officially joining 7 Brew’s rapidly expanding Texas footprint.
Once it opens, the new stand at 1216 N. Velasco Street will give local drivers another option for coffee, energy drinks, smoothies and plenty of highly customized combinations — all packed into just 541 square feet.
