Boss JCB San Antonio expansion plans now include an $8 million, 24,000-square-foot dealership at 13806 State Highway 16 South. The proposed Southside facility would strengthen the equipment dealer’s local sales and service presence near JCB’s major manufacturing campus.
For contractors and equipment operators, the business extends beyond buying a machine. Parts, maintenance and repair support help keep machinery working after it leaves the dealership. That service role provides context for Boss JCB’s growing regional network.
An $8 Million Boss JCB San Antonio Project
An October 16 Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation registration identifies the project as new dealership construction. It lists JCB Texas LLC as the owner and RVK Architecture as the design firm.
The filing estimates construction from November 16, 2026, through January 31, 2028. Its $8 million figure covers registered construction costs, rather than necessarily the full development investment. The project remains registered; the filing does not confirm that work has begun.
A Growing Regional Dealership Network
Boss JCB already serves San Antonio from 3744 Southeast Loop 410. Its official location directory also lists Pflugerville and Corpus Christi operations. The Southside proposal therefore builds on an established local presence.
During a March 30 announcement, general manager David Record said the company had outgrown its Southeast San Antonio site, according to the San Antonio Report. Record also described a separate, approximately 19,000-square-foot dealership in Converse, then projected to open by the end of 2026.
The Converse and Southside facilities are distinct projects. The company’s current location directory does not establish that Converse has opened, and the available information does not confirm a closure date for the Southeast Loop 410 operation.

Equipment Sales Backed by Parts and Service
The Boss JCB San Antonio project would add space to a business serving customers who rely on heavy machinery. The dealer’s established JCB equipment lineup includes telescopic handlers, commonly called telehandlers, along with backhoe loaders, excavators, wheel loaders, skid steer loaders and compact track loaders.
Telehandlers combine lifting capability with an extending boom. Compact track loaders offer a smaller machine platform for moving material and handling attachments. Together, these categories illustrate the range of work equipment dealerships support, from construction sites to agricultural operations.
Boss JCB’s company overview emphasizes service support and technicians who work on equipment from multiple manufacturers. Its parts and repair operations complement equipment sales. These are established company capabilities, not a confirmed inventory or service-bay plan for the new building.

From Two Employees to More Than 60
Record told the San Antonio Report in March that Boss JCB had grown from two employees in 2018 to more than 60. That company-reported growth helps explain its push for additional dealership space.
In the same report, Record initially projected 12–15 workers for the Southside dealership. That was an early staffing estimate, not a confirmed hiring total. The new registration supplies building details but does not establish employment levels.
Near JCB’s $500 Million Texas Factory
The dealership plans accompany JCB’s $500 million San Antonio manufacturing investment. JCB describes an approximately 1 million-square-foot factory intended to produce Loadall telescopic handlers, scissor lifts and boom lifts. The company expects the operation to support approximately 1,500 jobs over five years.
The factory and dealership serve different roles. Manufacturing adds production capacity, while the dealership supports equipment customers through sales, parts and service. JCB says Texas-built machines will move through its standard North American dealer network, rather than an exclusive outlet at Boss JCB.
The investment also adds to the Southside’s manufacturing activity, which TCM has followed through its coverage of Toyota’s San Antonio expansion plans. The dealership remains a separate $8 million construction project; its budget should not be combined with the factory investment.
What’s Next for Boss JCB San Antonio?
The March reporting described a tentative May or June 2027 opening for the Southside dealership. The newer state filing instead estimates construction completion on January 31, 2028. That places the registered construction timetable beyond the earlier opening projection.
The two timelines do not establish an officially announced delay or a guaranteed grand opening. For now, Boss JCB San Antonio plans point to a larger regional equipment-sales and service presence, with a confirmed opening date still to come.
