Hampton Inn & Suites is planning a new downtown Amarillo hotel, bringing 122 guest rooms to 1003 S. Buchanan Street. With an indoor pool and full bar included in city project documents, the five-story property would offer a new base for a baseball weekend, a business trip, or a few days exploring the city.
The appeal starts with the address. Guests would stay in the downtown district, where a trip can include an evening at the ballpark and time out beyond the hotel lobby. For visitors who want to make more of their stay, that setting gives the project its local character.

Rillo Investments LLC is the owner, and BCI Architects is the design firm. Separately, the city-approved developer agreement calls for at least $28 million in private investment.
