Fifth Third Bank Creekside plans bring another banking stop to southeast Arlington. The new branch at 2240 SE Green Oaks Boulevard would pair a walk-in banking location with two drive-through lanes, giving customers a choice between heading inside and handling a transaction from their vehicle.
It also adds a second local construction story for a bank expanding its Arlington presence. TCM previously covered Fifth Third’s planned North Arlington branch on West Lamar Boulevard. Creekside puts another planned address on the southeast side of the city.
Fifth Third Bank Creekside brings drive-through convenience
The Creekside location calls for a one-story, 2,400-square-foot building with custom architecture. Outside, the two-lane drive-through includes a dedicated ATM lane. For customers making a quick stop between errands, that vehicle access is a practical part of the design.
The combination gives the project a straightforward neighborhood role: a physical place to visit the bank, with an ATM option alongside it. The planned building is freestanding, with its own identity along SE Green Oaks Boulevard.
A familiar Texas banking name enters a new chapter
Fifth Third’s arrival on more Texas signs comes with a connection many customers already know: Comerica. The bank’s official welcome center says Comerica is now part of Fifth Third and its branches have transitioned to the Fifth Third name.
That change brings existing customer relationships together with the bank’s next generation of locations. In Arlington, the Creekside and Lamar Boulevard proposals give residents two local projects to follow as that presence develops.

Cincinnati roots, another Arlington address
The bank behind the blue-and-green 5/3 logo has roots stretching back to 1858. According to Fifth Third’s official history, William W. Scarborough and eleven other founders opened the Bank of the Ohio Valley in Cincinnati that year.
Today, its banking experience also extends to a phone screen. Fifth Third offers mobile check deposits, bill payments and account transfers through its digital banking tools. A neighborhood branch adds an in-person option alongside those everyday online services.
When Fifth Third Bank Creekside construction is planned
The state project registration lists an estimated $3.25 million construction cost. Work is scheduled from May 10, 2027, through January 4, 2028. Those are construction estimates; a public opening date has not been announced.
For southeast Arlington, Fifth Third Bank Creekside would put another banking option on a familiar local road—and give the bank’s growing city presence a new destination beyond North Arlington.
