The upcoming shop brings a familiar name in smoothies to Schaefer Commercial Retail, with a menu built around everything from fruity favorites to chocolate, peanut butter, and coffee-inspired combinations.
For anyone who likes a quick stop with plenty of flavor choices, the appeal is easy to picture. Some days call for something bright and fruity. On others, a rich peanut butter blend sounds just right. This planned location gives Seguin another food-and-drink project to watch along Highway 46.
Smoothie King Offers More Than One Way to Blend
The current national smoothie menu stretches well beyond a single strawberry-banana combination. Peanut Power Plus comes in several versions, including chocolate and strawberry. Meanwhile, the Original High Protein lineup includes banana, chocolate, lemon, and pineapple options.
Those choices make the menu easy to explore by flavor. A chocolate lover can start in one direction, while someone craving pineapple can head in another. Rather than ordering the same thing every time, there is room to find a second favorite.
Smoothie King also offers Gladiator blends in chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla. For coffee fans, the menu includes mocha and vanilla espresso combinations. These are examples from the national lineup; the Seguin shop’s final selection and opening-day availability remain unannounced.
Bring a Spoon, Too
Beyond the blender, the company’s current offerings include bowls and food. Its wider menu now features chicken flatbreads with tomatoes, cheese, and a choice of chipotle, ranch, or pesto sauce.
That gives the concept another dimension. A cold drink can be the main attraction, while something savory offers a different reason to browse the menu. However, those national additions do not establish which food items the Seguin location will carry.
For now, the smoothies themselves provide plenty of inspiration. The contrast between cool fruit flavors and richer chocolate or peanut butter combinations makes this a menu that can suit different cravings within the same group.
The Smoothie King Story Started in 1973
According to the company’s history, Steve Kuhnau began making his own blends in 1973 because conventional milkshakes did not suit him. His recipes used fruit and protein, laying the foundation for the business that followed.
More than five decades later, Smoothie King still builds its identity around blending ingredients for different preferences. Its menu has expanded, but the central idea remains recognizable: give customers options in a cup they can take along.
That history adds context to the upcoming Seguin shop. A familiar sign carries a long-running food story, while a new local address makes the experience more convenient for nearby customers.
Where the Seguin Shop Is Planned
Smoothie King lists 1300 TX-46, Suite 300 on its official location page. The page does not currently provide operating hours, and a verified opening date has not been announced.
The state project filing describes a 1,330-square-foot interior finish-out with an estimated cost of $200,000. It lists June 22, 2026, through February 22, 2027, as the estimated construction window. That completion date is not an opening announcement.
As the shop moves toward its debut, local hours and menu details will fill in the picture. Until then, Seguin has a refreshing new stop on the horizon—and plenty of potential flavors to think about.
