Five Star Ford of Lewisville is preparing for a major investment at its longtime home along North Stemmons Freeway, with plans for a new sales and service facility valued at $9.5 million.
The project is planned at 1144 N. Stemmons Freeway, the same address where the dealership currently operates in Lewisville. A new state filing describes an 84,868-square-foot automobile dealership facility, with construction currently scheduled from January 2028 through August 2029.
A major reinvestment in an existing Lewisville dealership
This is not a new dealership arriving in Lewisville. Five Star Ford of Lewisville already operates at 1144 N. Stemmons Freeway, where its sales, service and parts departments serve customers across Denton County and the surrounding area.
The size of the new filing points instead to a substantial reinvestment in the existing property. At nearly 85,000 square feet, the planned facility would create a sizable new home for both vehicle sales and service operations rather than a small renovation to the current dealership.
City plans offer an early look at what is taking shape
The state filing is not the first sign that changes are being planned at the property. Architectural materials filed with the City of Lewisville earlier in 2026 identify a Five Star Ford Pro Shop as a new facility at the same 1144 N. Stemmons Freeway address.
Exterior elevation drawings submitted to the city show a purpose-built facility carrying Five Star Ford Pro Shop branding. Those drawings were issued for review and were not construction documents, but they provide an early glimpse at the dealership’s broader plans for the site.
Five Star Ford has deep roots in the Lewisville area
The dealership is part of the Sam Pack automotive group and has operated in the North Texas market for decades. Five Star Ford’s own website describes the Lewisville store as serving Denton County and surrounding communities, while its current inventory pages say the dealership has been a Ford retailer for more than 35 years.
That history makes the planned project notable for Lewisville: rather than moving away from its established Stemmons Freeway location, the dealership appears to be preparing for a significant new chapter on the property it already calls home.
The current construction schedule remains well into the future, with work listed to begin in January 2028 and continue through August 2029. As additional plans move through the city, they should provide a clearer picture of how the new sales and service facility will reshape the Five Star Ford campus.
